Musifat (Moe) Akanji-Newton is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the nursing and medical field, she brings a depth of clinical expertise across psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings, medical-surgical care, and pediatrics.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Cizik School of Nursing in 2019. Prior to entering private practice, she spent nine years at The Harris Center’s Neuropsychiatric Center, where she provided psychiatric care within Psychiatric Emergency Services and Crisis Stabilization Units. Her approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each individual, ensuring care that is both clinically sophisticated and deeply personalized.
