Hello! I am Musifat (Moe) Akanji-Newton

A nurse practitioner-led psychiatric practice dedicated to your well-being. Our provider, M. Akanji-Newton, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in nursing and medical care, treating patients aged 14 and older.

Mrs. Akanji-Newton holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Cizik School of Nursing (2019). Her extensive background includes psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, medical-surgical units, and pediatrics. She spent nine years at the Harris Center’s Neuropsychiatric Center, specializing in psychiatric emergency services and crisis stabilization.

With expertise in psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapeutic treatment, Mrs. Akanji-Newton provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults with mental health conditions.
